One Day Treatment Center (ODT)

MITERA's One Day Treatment Unit (ODT) provides excellent scientific care and support to oncology patients at a level that overcame the demands of the modern age.

The Center

The ODT is addressed to patients who do not necessarily have to be admitted for hospitalization. Multiple benefits are achieved by reducing the time patients spend in hospital. A short visit in a friendly environment (privacy, TV, armchair for accompanying persons), combined with individualized care (continuous patient-monitoring system) and lower costs, provide a positive healthcare experience.
All of the stuff, doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and other specialists involved, are working together in ODT. It is the place where the co-operative spirit develops and matures, and treatment decisions are made in the context of a well-structured plan.

These elements are assured and cultivated by the MITERA ODT. Here you will find the same persons who always have high energy and are in a good mood. Science and good organization of care are beneficial for both the patient and the health scientists.

Diseases – Treatments

The ODT covers all the treatments the oncology patient will need. Therapeutic protocols are applied, and this is accompanied by the necessary diagnostic tests and supplemented by a thorough and timely supportive – symptomatic care.

Developments in oncology require flexibility in order to incorporate newer therapies that emerge in the course of time. Adaptation and maturation of the Oncology Unit enables us to keep track of developments so that, at all times the level of care is optimized in response to newer data.
Patients

To assist patients, the ODT reception calls them one day before treatment to inform them on the exact time of their appointment. On treatment day, it also arranges all administrative procedures regarding their admission.

The organization of ODT emphasizes on the direct communication with the patient, wherever he/she may be, and any problem he/she may encounters. The staff, always familiar to the patient, and his or her particular needs, will respond by phone, or on an emergency visit, or on the instructions given after the treatment administration. This support ensures that no symptoms will go unnoticed, and no needs will be recognized late, in order to give a timely and effective solution.
According to the perception of our patients, these details make a big difference in making the course of treatment easier, and the cooperation extremely creative.
