Hippocrates just wants to make the Hospital environment as pleasant as possible by helping the kids feel safe and at home throughout their hospitalization.

He hangs out with young patients, keeps them occupied with creative games and teaches them all they need to know about personal hygiene. In addition, with the help of the MITERA Children's Hospital music therapists and teachers, he reads stories to the children, paints and does handicrafts along with them, and organizes team games or movie screenings in the Hospital lounge.
If asked by the doctors, he accompanies the young patients – along with a trained nurse – on their way to have medical tests or surgery performed, so that they may feel safer and are not afraid.

His daily routine!

Every morning, he visits the 5th floor of MITERA Children’s Hospital to greet the children and wish them a pleasant day. Then he heads to the Outpatient Clinic to play with the children there. His next stop is the MITERA Children’s Hospital Oncology Clinic. This is where he spends most of his time because these friends need him the most.
From 11.00-13.00, he serves meals to children in their rooms and, of course, he goes back and visits each and every one of them to see if they have eaten all their food, so they can grow stronger and get better sooner.
